The Gossip have confirmed at Toronto date on their upcoming North American tour. They play Opera House on October 14th, tickets, $24.50 on sale today here.  The band have just released their new album Music For Men.  Check out the video for first single Heavy Cross here.

Warp Records (and Stereolab sound-a-likes) Broadcast are touring with Atlas Sound.  The tour hits Lee’s Palace on October 24th.  No ticket details as of yet.

Sea Wolf plays Sneaky Dee’s on October 9th. Port O’Brien and Sara Dov support.  Sea Wolf’s new album White Water, White Bloom is out September 22nd.

Coco Rosie play Lee’s Palace September 9th in support of their album to be released in 2010.

Vic Chesnutt plays Lee’s Palace on November 7th.

Blast from the Brit-Pop past, Manic Street Preachers have just confirmed a short North American tour, their first in 10 years.  They stop at the Phoenix on October 4th.  Tickets on sale today at 10am here.

Post Spanish festival meltdown, WAVVES play the El Mocambo on September 22nd.  Ganglians support.

Thao with the Get Down, Stay Down play El Mocambo on November 1st.  Tickets, $12, on sale now at Rotate This.

One Toronto festival that doesn’t seem to be getting a ton of press even though it has a wicked line-up this year is Summerworks.  The music series component features a bunch of great shows.  Below are my picks, the rest can be found here.  Tickets can be purchased here.
