New Vampire Weekend Album Announcement

Vampire Weekend have confirmed the name and release date for their second album, Contra. The album is slated for release on January 11th and the tracklist is as follows:

02 White Sky
03 Holiday
04 California English
05 Taxi Cab
06 Run
07 Cousins
08 Giving Up the Gun
09 Diplomat’s Son
10 I Think Ur a Contra

Notice that White Sky makes an appearance, which the band debuted during the tail end of their last tour. Watch the live version of the song below.

They have also confirmed two lone Canadian tour dates in October, the 6th at Le National in Montreal and the 8th in Toronto at the Horseshoe.  No ticket details as of yet, but both are bound to sell out as soon as they go on sale.

New La Roux Video

New La Roux video for I’m Not Your Toy.  Fashionable and hyper stylized, kind of like their music. La Roux have confirmed another Toronto show, this time at the much bigger Guverment on October 23rd, tickets on sale now.  Note that this is an early show, but is 19+.

New Fever Ray Video

How excited am I for the Fever Ray show October 2nd?  Pretty freakin’ excited.  New video for Seven was released this week, check it out below.  Not as weird as When I Grow Up, but just as visually stunning.  Tickets for their show at Kool Haus are still available here, and as much as I complained that they were expensive, I’m sure its going to be worth it.  It’s the first time The Knife crew have performed on Canadian soil, and a big production and wicked costumes are expected.
